Hello!
My name is Jaime Ventura and I'm a User Experience Designer from Washington D.C. Henry Miller once said that progress in life doesn't come from adapting, it comes from daring. I have always tried to live by that sentiment. From learning new musical instrument to running obstacle course races, I try never to limit myself. This is true in my professional career as well. Sometimes it might seem scary to try to learn new professional skills or to take on a whole new career path; but as a wise little green man once said, "fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering, and suffering leads to Disco"... or at least that is how I remember it.
This way of thinking is what brought me to UX design. After years of doing accounting I decided to see what else is out there and discovered UX design, and I'm glad I did. From the very first UX lesson I took, I realized that because of my predilection for problem solving, this is where I belonged.
I enjoy being able to make people's lives a little better by helping them solve their everyday issues. UX gives me a limitless opportunity to do just that.
When I'm not designing, I am constantly searching for new hobbies, like photography, and challenges that I can overcome. Currently I am looking into training for a triathlon. As a relentless trier, I am always looking for new opportunities. If you want to chat or collaborate on a new project, feel free to drop me a line.
